Event Type

It’s that time of year again!
The biggest South African jol of the year!
Every year we get together at the Rheinpark Golzheim to share some South African treats, braai, have a dop too many and dance to the beats of our very special DJ, DJ Doritos.
Time: 13:00 – Late
Place: Rheinpark Golzheim, Düsseldorf.
As you will see this is a massive park so if you put Robert-Lehr-Ufer 2, 40474 Düsseldorf into your GPS you will be able to see us and our big South African flag under the tree in the park (you can’t miss us).
There is paid parking available
This is a family-friendly event and international partners and friends are welcome too! We would appreciate if you could bring some South African treats, side dishes, salads, puddings, baked goods etc to share so that we can enjoy some home foods.
We usually have a massive table where everyone can place their dishes and we all share.
There is a Google document in the discussion area of the event page where you can write down what you will be contributing. If you have a braai that you could bring along, please add that to the list so that we know how many braais we will have on the day to share with everyone.
So far we have been lucky and have dodged the rain for the past 4 years. If rain is forecasted and you have a gazebo at home, we would appreciate it if you could bring this along. Please write on the list if you have a gazebo so we can count how many we will have in case of rain.
There is a big space for the kids and dogs to run around, we have a beer pong table and flunky ball for those who want to play drinking games and an amazing DJ to keep the party mood going. Bring your picnic blankets, chairs, dops, and vleis and enjoy us for an amazing day!
