  • 1 Review on “Doc Assist”

We made use of Doc Assist to obtain documentation from the Department of Home Affairs in South Africa. They assisted us with Retention letters to keep our South African citizenship, Unabridged Birth Certificates and Unabridged Marriage Certificates. The UBC and UMC also had to be apostiled. The instructions and communication were clear. As soon as they received the documentation, they sent us electronic copies to check the details.
My UBC did not have my ID number on it, and we requested a new one. We got my new UBC 3 months later. Although this is frustrating, one must remember that they send the application the Department of Home Affairs and can only work with what they get back, and the DHA time frames.
They do not send regular updates, this is also mentioned before you contract them. You only get info when there is something new, so you have to trust them :-). Again, this is frustrating but understandable.
In the end, we got what we paid for, and within a reasonable time frame (4 Months). We received friendly and professional service.
The price was also very reasonable and I can happily recommend their services
