Join us for our next braai! If it’s your first time attending, here’s everything you need to know:
Bring-and-Braai:
This is a bring-and-braai event, meaning you’re welcome to bring your own meat, salads, snacks, and anything else you’d like to enjoy. However, please note no outside drinks are allowed. A full selection of drinks, including Klippies and cola, will be available at the bar. The tennis club only accepts card payments, so no cash transactions will be possible.
What’s Included with Your Entrance Fee: (Book your tickets online on https://www.uitafrika.nl/event-details/south-african-may-braai-day-maastricht)
– Braai facilities (10 braai’s will be set up)
– Charcoal and wood – Some chips and pretzels (table snacks)
– Equipment rental (tents and extras, if needed)
– Ticket taxes and service fees
Event Details:
– Set-up begins at 11:00 – help is always appreciated!
– You are welcome to arrive from 14:00.
– The fire will be lit at 17:30.
What to Bring:
– Your own crockery and cutlery (a limited supply of paper plates, knives, and forks will be available)
– Braai tongs (if you don’t have any, others will likely share)
– Picnic blankets
– Sauces (some will be available, but feel free to bring your favourites)
– Mosquito repellent – the area can have plenty of mosquitoes!
**Location and Parking**:
Ready Maastricht is just a 15-minute bike ride from Maastricht city centre. If you’re driving, there’s plenty of parking available.
South African Shops:
– UitAfrika (South African hand-made items)
– SA Food Store (All types of food products from South Africa) Please note if you do buy drinks from The SA Food Store it is not allowed to be consumed at the venue.
