About this Event

Oktoberfest, the world-famous beer festival, takes place annually in Munich, usually starting in late September and running into the first weekend of October.
It began in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese and has grown into a massive celebration of Bavarian culture.
Visitors from all over the world enjoy traditional Bavarian foods like pretzels, sausages, and roast chicken, along with lively folk music, dances, and parades.
Guests often dress in Dirndl and Lederhosen, and of course, beer flows freely in enormous tents.
Beyond Munich, many towns in Germany host their own smaller Oktoberfest celebrations, making it a national symbol of fun, tradition, and community.
