The African Vocals – A Cappella Voices from Namibia
Back by popular demand, The African Vocals, an a cappella group from the townships of Swakopmund, Namibia, will be touring Germany again in 2025. Their music is more than melody — it’s a powerful expression of their life stories, shaped by the harsh realities of township life, poverty, inequality, and violence.
Each member brings their personal journey to the stage, singing not only of hardship, but also of hope. Their dream? To build a better life for themselves and their families through the unifying force of music.
The group now includes 19 singers aged 20 to 35, with a rotating ensemble of eight members selected for their tours. On stage, they serve as cultural ambassadors, sharing the rich traditions, rhythms, and spirit of Namibia. Their performances radiate African joy, spirituality, and resilience, painting a heartfelt and uplifting picture of their homeland.
Expect songs about love, daily life, Namibia’s natural beauty, and an enduring sense of hope — all delivered in breathtaking harmony and with contagious energy.
